Reliving Our Engagement

We got engaged on December 31, 2011 up on Bogus Basin, sitting in snow, overlooking the valley of Boise and watching the fireworks, everything was perfect.  Here are a few pictures to show:

Then came time for our engagement pictures, we had a blast with these and were extremely blessed by our talented cousin, who is still in high school! :) Thank you Noa, your photos are priceless and are going to be around forever.

Engagement til Rehearsal

If you know Maleb, you know nothing happens the way it does for others.  A few days before Caleb proposed, he got the opportunity of a lifetime and received his dream job.  Let's recap on our life leading up to the rehearsal dinner:

-January - found wedding dress, photographer, venue, and invitations.
-February - completed pre-marital counseling, in 4 weeks, not 4 months like how the course is supposed to be.
-March - covered my soon to be husband in prayer and journaled it for him, crafted for the wedding and made final decisions.
-April - witnessed a miracle, my beautiful niece Evelyn being born.
-May - watched beautiful Abby graduate HS a year early, and had a craft night with my sister Rachel
-mid June - decided on a date that was exactly 6 weeks away.
-July 13 - rehearsal.
-July 14 - our wedding day.

Our engagement was a journey that was blessed from beginning to end and still continuing.  We wouldn't have changed anything that has happened or anything we did.  God had a purpose for us and we stayed obedient to His call.  Here's a recap in pictures:

Blast from the Past

We got engaged on December 31, 2011 - our 3 years of dating anniversary at a side road before Bogus Basin Ski Resort that overlooks the whole valley of Boise..

He had gone up the night before and set up Christmas lights to make a special area, after about 30 minutes of reminiscing on the past 3 years, we decided to head back down to Boise but right before we left, Caleb went down on one knee and asked me to marry him!! Our lives were forever changed. 

Hi friends!

Hello friends!! We are Maleb! It stands for Caleb & Mary.  My sister, whom we'll refer to as JJ, made it up and it's stuck with us ever since.  Our blog title came from our other sister, we'll refer to her as Katniss for now. :)

 First of all, we love Jesus, without Him we are nothing.  We love our family, our friends and our adventures.  This blog is to share with friends all of our adventures instead of just using Facebook, and frankly, because it's cool! 

We got married in Nampa, Idaho on July 14, 2012 and decided to embark on a grand adventure.  We had been praying for almost a year about moving to Alaska and 3 weeks post wedding, (August 3 to be exact), we flew to Alaska to help care for our cousin's family and explore Alaska.  Through some ups and downs, we are loving every minute and excited to see this season of our life unravel before us.
